So, I downloaded the zip file
opened it and uploaded the entire directory into the plugin directory of wordpress.
Then it appears in my dashboard of plugins
Then I try to activate this
Then the message appears that I should to to the site to download the plugin.

-( I am missing something here? I think the answer is simple, but since I am a newbe I do not know. Anyone to help me?

Regarding of your issue, please follow these steps :

1. Download the sangar slider from tonjoostudio
2. UNZIP the file sangar-slider.zip
3. You’ll get sangar-slider folder
4. Copy and paste the folder to /wp-admin/plugins/
5. Activate the plugin from dashboard > plugins
