HTML Layer stripping DIV ID and Class?
Updated on December 22, 2016 in Sangar Slider

I’m trying to create a custom template and using the post slider. When I insert a layer of HTML, it seems to strip out my DIV ids.

For example, I have this in the "Layer HTML":

<div id="lead-photo">

<h1>[sslider-post-title]</h1>

</div><!–end lead photo–>

<div id="page-content">
<div class="lead-photo-description">
<p>[sslider-post-content-excerpt="150"]</p></div>

When I view it on the site, all of the "div id" and "div class" portions are removed. Is it not possible to include those?

Hi there!

Sorry for late reponse,

Have you tried HTML/CSS editor? You can use code editor if you want to customize your slider, without creating whole new template

Thanks

I’m not sure I understand. Where is the HTML/CSS editor?

I was putting my code at Edit Slider > Edit Template > Desktop and then created an HTML layer.

Where would I find the HTML/CSS editor you reference? Thanks.

Zea,

No, that actually does not help at all. Please review my initial post. I’m trying to add some DIVs in the HTML portion and they keep getting stripped out. I can’t add DIVs in CSS. I really just need it to do what I initially stated. That is, that I can add some HTML (as it does for H1s and such), but I also need to add DIVs. But when I do in that window, it strips them out.

I’m just going to try and edit a custom template and bypass the html editor at this point. Seems like editing template.php may be a better way to go as I’m getting some results there.
