Do NOT want images to Crop
Updated on February 20, 2018 in Sangar Slider

Folks,

I’m having a real problem understanding how to size my images for Sanger Slider and NOT have it crop the images. The images I am using are 1440px X 346px. I have the sanger slider base image setting set to 1440px X 346px. Sanger Slider is cropping every image. You can see the site at www.lightofmessiah.info. When I import the images, it requires me to select a crop. All images are set to crop from the middle dot. I DO NOT want any cropping and want the full image to display and be responsive. How do I set that in Sanger Slider?

Thanks,
Joe

Agep,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I’m going to email you the actual images. If you look at the UrbanEvangelism slide, you’ll see that the setting sun is not on the image on the right. Even when I expand by browser to full width on a 23" monitor, it still does not display.

What the slider seems to be doing when you reduce the browser size is to crop the image as is gets smaller rather than scaling the image smaller. Is that how this slider works? What I’m trying to get is the full image always displaying regardless of the browser size. Make sense?

Thanks,
Joe

AGrep,

Here is a link to the Wonderplugin Slider to show you what I’m trying to accomplish with Sanger Slider:

https://www.wonderplugin.com/wordpress-slider/examples/wordpress-image-and-video-slider-id5/

Look at the "Tulips and Sky" slide. Compress you browser window. The image gets smaller, but the picture does not crop.

Hope this helps with what I am trying to do. Please let me know if Sanger Slider can do this an if it can, what settings do I use.

Thanks,
Joe

Oh I see now what you want to achieve.
So you want to image to be always 100% with its container. I have changed the setting so the minimum height is set to “0” and full width set to be “yes”.
http://prntscr.com/ih5nxj
And now if you resize the browser the image is alwats at 100% width (not cropped).

Oops. One last thing. The setting you adjusted messed up my mobile background/content. Is there something that needs to be set there? I have mobile backgrounds that are 375px X 250px. How do I set them the same as you did on the desktop?

Thanks,
Joe

So do you want to use mobile background at 375px x 250px for mobile? If yes just ulpoad your image at mobile background (http://prntscr.com/ih5uh5) and turn on the mobile editor (http://recordit.co/cJtpo4DsLR).

Because you have set the mobile threshold at 375px (http://prntscr.com/ih5tsq) so the mobile background will apply start at 375px screen size.
