Page excerpt not working, tried everything. Help?

Hi, I’ve paid for and activated ECAE. It’s working how I want on my front page. However, I’d also like it to work on another page (a dummy page called "Sample Page" I made).

I went to Excerpt location -> Advanced Settings, and chose the page I want it to appear on:

(by the way, the image uploading function of this forum doesn’t work… So I had to use that external one.)

I saved and went to the page, where there’s nothing:

I’ve tried changing the Excerpt size setting. I’ve tried changing the theme (to several different ones). I updated the Sample Page after doing these things. None of this worked.

Am I missing something? Is there some documentation for this? I’m somewhat disappointed because I paid for a license and this simple task doesn’t seem to be working.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I tried character for the method. Still nothing. It did change the excerpts on my front page though.

Just to be sure, though: the only thing I’ve done to get the excerpts on my “Sample Page” page is choosing it like in my first picture above. Is that all I need to do, for it to show up there? thank you.

It is okay if you are not comfortable, but it will go too much complicated if you have to tell the settings on your website, very not effective and time consuming. Sorry but I can’t no longer help.

In my experience it’s very uncommon to be asked for login information and a huge security risk. I paid for this plugin, can you really not provide support? I’ll probably report this to WordPress and others.

Tell me:
a. WordPress version
b. Theme
c. plugins are installed.
d. Screenshot your general options.

Change this to character method:

Remove sample page options

and then try set with advanced options, make it like this

Sorry forget to ask to screenshot your sample page content, and does it happen only on sample page or another pages? Have you tried also make another page (filled with content) and excerpting this?
