“read more” disappears when loading more posts – 2nd try

Multi License for Easy Custom Auto Excerpt

I noticed that when the "load more" button at the bottom of the posts is clicked, more posts will load, but the "Read more ➥" link doesn’t show up on subesquent posts.

I wrote to the theme dev, who answered back with this:
1/ That’s button from a plugin "Easy Custom Auto Excerpt" – and it doesn’t callback again when ajax load. Let’s remove it and use read more button from the theme.
You can enable read more button from the theme via Customize > Other Post Layout Options > Add More "Read More" button.
I followed those instructions and even disabled ECAE. However, now no "read more" link is displayed anywhere. I paid for the premium version and would really appreciate some assistance in resolving this.

Please take a look at this for me. Thank you for any advice.

Hi, I just sent this message as a reply to your email (my screenshots won’t load – I keep getting error messages even though they’re less that the 150k):

Here are two screenshots. The first one shows just the first load of posts. The second shows the tail of first load and start of second load. Second load doesn’t have the "Read More >" text. The theme dev states that there’s something at issue with the way AJAX is loading.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to assist you.
