I see your website using Visual Composer. Unfortunately, VC have their own excerpt function 🙁

VC is strict and slow.

My advice is, do not use the VC, but uses the default wordpress’s page format (without VC). Then you can style it as you want, and ECAE will working like a charm 🙂

However, the excerpt image doesn’t resize properly. I chose a width of 100 pixels, but all the images are too big + I can’t get the image on the left side of the excerpt, and the text on the right side.

After I investigate your website, I think the problem is not incompability with VC, but with your theme.

Your theme seems to have it own excerpt function, unfortunately, and there’s no plugin which can override it.

The only thing you can do is, change your theme with another 🙁
