How do I prevent Scaling for desktop viewers?

I’ve created a slideshow with the settings of:
Base Width: 1200
Base Height: 500
Full Width: No (but Yes made no difference)

I’ve uploaded two images that are sized at 1200×500.

My theme previously had a 1200×500 static image in the exact same spot.

With the slider, the images are being scaled to 720px x 300px.

Even with a monitor running 1900×1200, full screen browser window, I can’t get larger than 720px x 300px

How do I get the slider to start off at the allotted size of 1200×500?

n/m. even though I checked the padding around it, I found a padding that I didn’t think was applied. removing the padding solved the problem.
